Attire and Comfort

The dress attire for this event is business, and perhaps not law enforcement standard business. Wear something in which you feel relaxed and able to move. Conference room temperatures can vary, so bring a layer to stay comfortable.

The average daytime temperature for Tucson in September is 91*/71*F, and can vary between an average of 84* to 58*F. There are some wonderful outside spaces throughout the hotel property, so plan accordingly to enjoy them if the weather swings either direction.

There is a newly refurbished pool and Jacuzzi area, so remember your poolside attire.

There are many attractions around the Tucson area and if you plan on adding a few days to your visit, pack comfortable shoes, casual clothes, and sunscreen to enjoy the adventures. You can check out local attractions at: http://www.lodgeonthedesert.com/play/attractions.htm

What to Bring

You will be provided with a conference book to follow curriculum and keep notes. Bring your favorite writing pen (or pens if you’re like me!).

Regarding Laptops and Tablets – Most of us travel with our laptops, tablets, and smart technology. What would we do without it?

The ELEVATE Resilience event is about you and has been designed to provide you a unique and extraordinary experience. One that allows for you and other participants to be fully present.

Using a laptop or tablet can be distracting to those around you and disconnect you from the experience. The act of writing and interacting with those around you allows you to be present and connect.

While you will not need your laptop or tablet for the event, laptop safes are provided in each room so you can feel comfortable securing it when you’re not using your laptop.

Fragrance-Free Space

With respect for other participants in the room whom might have chemical sensitivities, please be aware and refrain from wearing or using strong-scented lotions, sprays, and fragrances. We thank you for this consideration
